What is Second & Nine?

One Summer Sunday in 2012 I ran into a young lady and the encounter we had drove me to give my life to Christ in an IHOP in Florence, South Carolina.  Since that day in IHOP I have been blessed in so many different ways. Aside from the great breakfast that I ate, I was given a car, I was accepted into the finest college in the country, and I was blessed time and time again by donors that helped me pay for college. To continue, I was molded into a leader while I was there, I accepted my calling to preach, I motivated and poured into the lives of leaders. I spoke to church congregations, schools and teams across the state of South Carolina. I crossed paths with and became a brother, son, and mentor to amazing people. I graduated, I came home and I became a teacher! And this is just the quick version!

I quickly realized that 1 Corinthians 2:9 is the one scripture in life that I was living out.

"Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of any man the things that God has prepared for those that love him."  

I was living it! Nobody had envisioned or seen what I was living, not even me.  I put it inside my class ring, I wrote it on everything, and I even preached sermons about it! I lived day after day thanking God for what he had already done for me, but I was also sure not to count anything out because like a defensive coordinator facing an offense on 2nd and 9, I didn't really know what He would throw at me next!

2nd & 9 is inspired by the confirmation that nobody has even dreamed of whats next for you in life!
